Yay or Nay:
When I attended a recent political debate in Rock Hill,
one of the questions asked of the candidates was "Where or what do you turn to for the hard, pressing questions in life?" I believe that Mark is an excellent candidate for this position. He is a Christian conservative who would work
hard for us with no self-interest involved. He is interested in the people and would seek our input before attending
sessions in Columbia. One thing that Mark is strongly against is raising taxes. He believes that we are already
over-taxed; we just need to lower those taxes and implement plans to make the best use of that money.
Several important organizations have already endorsed Mark. Among them is LIFEPAC, the political action committee
for S.C. Citizens for Life, which is the South Carolina branch of National Right to Life.
Mark is a fair, honest, and open-minded person who would be an outstanding representative of District 17. Jo Darby - Chester
One of the candidates answered (something to the effect of) "I look deep inside myself and after much contemplation, I usually come up with an answer.
When the question came around to Mark - his answer, without hesitation was:
"I look to the Bible for all answers in life."
I said to myself, "Now THAT'S my man!"

At another point in the debate one of the candidates pointed out that it doesn't take a law degree to answer yay or nay to a bill resolution.
I agree completely with that statement! I would like to add to that though.
What a leader does need to have is a character that can correctly discern
what is right and wrong - Mark Bennett has that character because his character is defined by his Christian Faith in Jesus Christ!
Mark has my vote - David Beverley Sr.
Supports Bennett for Senate:
This was originally published as a letter to the editor of the Chester News and Reporter.
My name is Josephine Darby, a lifelong resident of Chester County, Richburg area, and a past state executive
committeeman of the Chester County Republican Party. I have known Mark Bennett all his life, and I know what a
nice young man he is; therefore, I am writing this endorsement for Mark as Republican for State Senate District 17.
Then he can go to work for you!
